If you’re chasing the real outback experience, our campground is the perfect place to stop, set up, and soak in the rugged beauty of the bush. Whether you’re on a road trip, riding through on an adventure bike, or travelling with your swag in tow, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay without losing that raw, authentic feel of the outback.
What We Offer:
-
Basic Amenities – Toilets and bush showers so you can freshen up after a long day on the road.
-
Unpowered Sites – Set up your tent, camper, or roll out the swag. No frills, just space to unwind.
-
Outback Atmosphere – Wide open skies, quiet nights, and the crackle of the campfire.
Stay for a night or two and enjoy the freedom of the open road. Watch the sun dip below the horizon, swap stories under the stars, and wake up to the sounds of the outback.
This is camping stripped back to what matters most – you, the land, and the journey ahead.
Laura campgrounds
Laura is the gateway to the Cape. It’s accessible on the sealed Peninsula Development Road. This country is home to the biggest and most significant rock art galleries in Australia. It’s also the destination of the bi-annual Laura Quinkan Indigenous Dance Festival.

The country, community and culture are tied together here, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with and learn more about one of the world’s oldest cultures. While the township is small, the experience is big. We invite you to stop, stay, and connect with our people and place. Our facilities include the following.
