Bob’s Place is a multi-purpose facility located in the centre of Laura, Cape York Peninsula. This new building was constructed in 2016, in conjunction with the Army Aboriginal Assistance Programme, which is funded by the Australian Government. On completion it was handed over to the Ang-Gnarra Aboriginal Corporation. Bobs Place is named after a much respected Elder.

The modern building was designed and constructed to suit the tropical conditions. As well as being fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans throughout, there’s wide covered verandahs surrounding the building with table and chair seating for meetings or workshops.

The building is comprised of several distinct rooms, including the administrative office for the Ang-Gnarra Aboriginal Corporation, local Centrelink, an internet café, kitchen and toilet facilities. Bob’s Place also has a well-equipped boardroom, which is available for venue hire - Per Hour I Half Day I Full Day options available.
